"VENTURE"... is a 1973, 31 foot Uniflyte, with one of the strongest fiberglass hulls made, in Veitnam they were given the nickname "Bulletproof".
In 1975, Uniflyte stopped using a DuPont fire retardant chemical in the fiberglass called Hetron which did not cause blistering, and was replaced by a chemical which contained bromide which created pockets of gas within the fiberglass laminate causing widespread blistering throughout the hull and superstructure. Remember... mine's a '73 and blister free...
Her hull design is the same as the Uniflytes used for the Vietnam river boats, with the exception of having a full keel, giving her added stability and safety.
Also used as a deep sea charter boat from Westport, WA and Ketchikan, Alaska, this boat also has a stable, comfortable ride in the inland waters.
Handling up to 6 passengers, a large swim platform (not shown), ideal for SCUBA diving. Venture has been completely repowered with a brand new 315hp Cummins Turbo Diesel engine and gearbox, new shaft, prop, all new fuel, steering and hydraulic systems.
